Evolution of CDTHU

REACH's Equality and Cultural Diversity Training Unit has evolved through years of our hands-on experience of working with diverse Communities, Public, Private and Voluntary sector organisations. This training programme, which has been developed through empirical research and consultation with various organisations and stakeholders, is unique in design, problem-based and needs focused.

There are five modules within the ECDTU programme namely:

In-House and Tailor-Made Training

In addition to the regular training modules, REACH also organizes special training programmes tailored to meet the specific needs of Individuals and Organizations.

In-House Training

If you can't come to us, we'll come to you! We can arrange for our trainers to facilitate in-house training for your organisation on the dates and times that suit you. Please note that in-house training has to be booked 2-3 weeks in advance before the start date.

Tailor-Made Training

We will also be able to design and deliver training programmes with a mix of our standard modules to suit your organisational or individual needs. A member of our training team will be sent to conduct a training needs analysis that will enable us to assess your individual/organisational specific training needs. To design and deliver a tailor-made training programme, a minimum of 5 participants are required.

The contents of each training programme depends entirely on the particular needs of the client and can range from the use of existing modules to materials exclusively designed to suit the clients needs.

Training Methodology

The training method in all of REACH's training programmes is participant/problem-based and needs-centered. The central aspect of this method is the presentation of problems placed within the context of every day experience. Lectures, case studies, group presentations and discussions will be used to reinforce this training method.
