Cultural Diversity Training Health Unit

Cultural Diversity Training

REACH's Equality and Cultural Diversity Training Unit has evolved through years of our hands-on experience of working with BME Communities, Public, Private and Voluntary sector organisations. This training programme, which has been developed through empirical research and consultation with various organisations and stakeholders, is unique in design, problem-based and need-focused.

Moreover, the training programme is complimented with the wealth of experiences, skills and knowledge from a diverse team of individuals within the organisation. Our trainers are vastly experienced in the designing and delivery of equality and cultural diversity training to a variety of organisations from different sectors.

The unit has successfully delivered training to individuals from health and social care services, voluntary organisations, including BME voluntary organisations. We also work in partnership with other organisations, i.e. currently we are working in partnership with Glasgow Council for Voluntary Sector (GCVS) to deliver equality and cultural diversity training to individuals from voluntary sector organisations. We have set training modules incorporated into our training programme; however we champion ourselves as being able to provide needs based and tailored made training, which helps the training to be more applicable to individual's working needs.

The training method in all of REACH's training programmes is participant/problem-based and needs-centered. The central aspect of this method is the presentation of problems placed within the context of every day experience. Lectures, case studies, group presentations and discussions will be used to reinforce the content of this training.
