REACH has been careful to balance its input into policy process with a strong emphasis on health related social research.
Past and present research includes:
- The Missing Link: Black & Minority Ethnic Community Participation in Health -
Download (408KB) - The Black & Minority Ethnic Men's Health Project which has aimed to develop an evidence-base for the development of appropriate preventative advice, health information and services for Black & Minority Ethnic men in Glasgow.
- The Youth Health Participation Project which has sought to ensure Black & Minority Ethnic youth have greater access to appropriate health advice and information and to facilitate their participation in policy discussions about health services that are meant to benefit them.
Other research topics related to the minority community undertaken by REACH include:
- Health issues of asylum seekers and refugees (ASRs)
- Knowledge, beliefs and understanding of mental health among Muslim women
- Minority Ethnic issues relating to areas such as Asthma, Palliative Care and Tobacco Cessation
